Romain Claris was born in Cannes in 1983 and developed an early passion for visual storytelling, leading him to study at the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français, where he graduated in 2005. He went on to establish the video department of Claris Image Builder, directing and producing nearly 500 films, primarily for prestigious brands in the yachting industry.
His expertise spans every stage of audiovisual production, from directing and cinematography to editing and composing. This versatility allows him to create visually distinctive films that reflect each brand's identity while meeting the unique demands of the luxury maritime sector.
Beyond commercial filmmaking, Claris has earned international recognition for his artistic projects, receiving over 100 festival selections and awards, including honors for experimental filmmaking, artistic direction, animation, and poetry films. He also co-directs the Bordeaux Shorts Biennale, supporting emerging creativity and promoting short films. Combining technical mastery, artistic sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the yachting industry, Claris continues to set standards for visual storytelling in luxury yachting.
